Surviving the Tiangge Hunger

After spending three hours haggling for phones, gadgets, or pearls in the crowded tiangge lanes, you will be absolutely exhausted. Getting to Greenhills is relatively simple, but Ortigas Avenue is almost always congested. The easiest way to commute is to take the MRT-3 to Santolan-Annapolis Station. From there, it is a short, sweaty walk to the tricycle terminal where you can catch a ride straight to the mall gates. If you are coming from the west, jeepneys from MRT V. Mapa can drop you off along Annapolis Street. Honestly, walking around the complex will make you work up a massive appetite, and the smell of roasting food will tempt you at every corner.

Nostalgic Stalls and Legendary Chinese Bites

Greenhills has some of the most nostalgic eating spots in Metro Manila. You cannot talk about Greenhills dining without mentioning Gloria Maris. It is the go-to spot for family Sunday lunches, serving classic dim sum and hot pot that have tasted exactly the same for decades. For a quicker and cheaper bite, head over to Le Ching Tea House. Their spareribs claypot rice is legendary, and honestly, combining it with their fresh shrimp dumplings is the ultimate post-shopping reward.

Anyway, if you want something light, grab a fresh spring roll from Sodam or head to the food court for cheap local favorites. The whole place is undergoing massive renovations, so some of the older food stalls have moved to the new wing. Just a heads up, the weekends get insanely crowded, so finding a table around 12 PM is a real sport. So, make sure to plan your food run early before your energy completely runs out.
